So I'm finally in Alaska. I've been here for almost a week now. Its cold, really cold. I've been looking for work and I found some openings and filled out a few applications. As it turns out, I'm too old for the states medical benefits (and I have no kids). I started my new meds this morning, so far not much has changed. The doctor said give it a week and if I need to, up the dose.
When I first got off the plane I felt almost an instant relief. Although a lot of the stress was gone I was still depressed. I meet up with my my mom and waited outside while she pulled the car around. Everything was white, the snow was amazing. There was about 4 guys smoking in front of a no smoking sign. Idiots.
I got to my mothers place, Unloaded all my stuff. I'm sleeping in brothers room, he stays at his girlfriends place now. That evening we had a Birthday celebration for him (a day early), he's 20 now. The next few days my mom took me around Alaska, getting applications and seeing the area.
Hopefully I can find a job really soon, hopefully these meds help as well. The doctor also told me to exercise. Everything seems to be going smoothly, there's been a few bumps, but nothing too big.
